A luxury car abandoned at a shop for more than a year in Kishtwar town, 220 km from Jammu, raised suspicion, which led to the arrest of Pervez Tak.

In May, police was informed about the car. “When I came to know it was a Mitusbishi Outlander, I asked officials to investigate,” said DIG Doda-Ramban Garib Das.

Since it had a Maharashtra number, police started tracking people who visited Mumbai regularly. Registered in Laila’s mother Saleena Begum’s name, the car was used by her husband Tak. Probe revealed the actor and her family members were missing and Tak had also conned people. Tak was arrested in May from Jammu.
