Madhya Pradesh: Locals beat up rape accused in public

Demanding immediate justice for 10-year-old rape victim, locals from Rajendra Nagar where victim belongs taught accused a fitting lesson before Neelganga police produced him at local court.

Rajendra Nagar residents forced police to parade 30-year-old accused Jitendra Bagri and later thrashed him brutally in a ful public view. A 10-year-old girl was raped by a married at gunpoint in Rajendra Nagar area of the city on Monday night. The police swung into action and arrested the accused on Tuesday.

However, incensed local from Rajendra Nagar who got news that police was producing Bagri in local court secretly, they staged demonstration infront of police station demanding immediate justice for victim. They forced police to parade Bagri from Neelganga square to Sindhi Colony. During this, Bagri faced public ire as they thrashed him in presence of police walking along with him to save him from public fury.

People forced Bagri to do sit-up holding his ears at Neelganga colony square. Even some people tried to garlanding him footwear garland, but policemen snatch it from them. People said every rapist will now get same treatment.
