Mahant assails Nepal Parliament?s move

THE HEAD priest of Gorakhnath temple and chairman of Ram Janamabhoomi Mukti Andolan Committee Mahant Avaidyanath said that Nepal would face Kashmir-like situation if the proposal of the Nepalese Parliament to abolish Hindu character of the country was not strongly opposed. Talking to mediapersons here on Saturday, Avaidyanath said that it was an alarm against the Hindu forces, and Indian Government should keep vigil on the developments of the Himalayan kingdom.

THE HEAD priest of Gorakhnath temple and chairman of Ram Janamabhoomi Mukti Andolan Committee Mahant Avaidyanath said that Nepal would face Kashmir-like situation if the proposal of the Nepalese Parliament to abolish Hindu character of the country was not strongly opposed.

Talking to mediapersons here on Saturday, Avaidyanath said that it was an alarm against the Hindu forces, and Indian Government should keep vigil on the developments of the Himalayan kingdom.

He said that the decision of the Nepalese Parliament resulted from the deep-rooted conspiracy of the Christian Missionaries and Islamic fundamental forces active in Nepal.

He further said that the Indian Government keep vigil on the developments in Nepal and said the Maoists and ISI activists joined hands against Hinduism.
They were trying to sideline the royal family and Hindutwa forces in Nepal and after repeated attempts, they have achieve success.

Terming the proposal for abolishing the religious character as a blow in itself, he called upon the people of Nepal origin to strongly oppose the proposal.

Continuing his offensive against the proposal of the Nepali Parliament, Avaidyanath said no one raised the issue of declaring Pakistan and Bangladesh a secular state.

Meanwhile, BJP MP Yogi Adityanath called upon the members of particular community to protest against abolition of Hindu character of Nepal at a conference of the Hindu Vahini at DVN Degree College in the city.
