Maharashtra CM convenes all party meet

The meeting assumes significance in view of Advani's visit to the city and BJP blaming soft anti-terror policy of UPA.

An all-party meeting convened by Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh in the wake of serial blasts in suburban trains in the city is being held at Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Deshmukh is expected to make a statement after the crucial meeting ends.

The meeting assumes significance in view of BJP leader LK Advani's visit to the city and the BJP blaming "soft anti-terror" policy of the UPA government at the Centre.

Meanwhile, Sena chief Bal Thackeray has blamed Mumbai police and intelligence machinery for the blasts.

Leaders who are attending the meeting included BJP leaders Nitin Gadkari and former Home Minister Gopinath Munde.
