Maharashtra Governor SC Jamir today met President Pratibha Patil in New Delhi in the wake of terror attacks in Mumbai.
The meeting comes a day after Patil visited Mumbai and met those injured and the next of kin of some of the victims in the terror attacks.
"It was a courtesy call," official sources said.
Jamir's call on the President also comes at a time when Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh has offered to resign from his post and his deputy RR Patil has already put in his papers owning responsibility for security lapses.
The Governor had met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday.
