The petrol pump strike in Maharashtra entered day 2 on Tuesday. Around 2,200 petrol pumps in Maharashtra went on strike on Monday to protest the high sales tax in the state.
The Maharashtra Government has denied any compromise with the dealers. The state government has infact threatened to invoke the Essential Services Maintainence Act (ESMA) against the dealers. Dealers, however, are not intimidated by the threat.
Meanwhile, sources say the strike is not complete with around 40 petrol pumps still opearting.
