A 32-year-old maid was allegedly gang raped in Noida and dumped after being assaulted at Kalindi Kunj in New Delhi on Saturday night. According to the police, the victim, a resident of Sector 93, was abducted and raped by two men at a secluded place in Noida.
The woman told the police that she was returning from work at around 8.30 pm on Saturday when a Santro car stopped near her. "There were two people in the car. The driver of the car pulled me inside. They took me to a secluded spot and raped. Later, they dumped me near Kalindi Kunj," the victim has alleged in the FIR registered at Phase-II police station.
The victim approached the police on Sunday morning. She was sent to the district hospital for medical test, which confirmed the rape, the police said. The victim is married and has a seven-year-old daughter.
Kamarpal, one of the accused, has been arrested, while his accomplice is still at large. Both the accused are residents of Geja in Noida.
"We have arrested Kamarpal, one of the accused. He has a cement shop and knows the victim. We have also recovered the car used in the crime. However, the other accused is still at large. We have launched a manhunt to nab him," said Randhir Singh, station house officer, Phase-II police station.
In March, a 23-year-old woman was allegedly abducted and gang raped in a moving car while in February a class 10 student was allegedly gang raped by five men.
