Karun Chandhok and his JRM Racing teammates David Brabham and Peter Dumbreck took their best ever finish in the FIA World Endurance Championship by finishing fifth overall and second in the privateer class at the seventh round of the championship at Japan’s Motegi circuit.

The overall victory was secured by Toyota factory team who managed to get the better of the mighty Audi factory team for the first time since the Japanese car manufacturer’s return to sportscar racing this year.

Chandhok helped the team take fifth place despite minor contact with an Audi and even managed to set the team’s fastest lap of the race.
