Fire brigade sources in Kolkata said eight fire tenders, which had been pressed into service were still fighting to control the raging fire.
A major fire broke out in a paint factory of the Matilal Mullick Lane of Baranagar in North 24 Parganas district on Saturday.

The cause of the inferno was yet to be ascertained. However, it was suspected that some inflammable articles inside the paint factory caught fire, sources added.
