Everyone’s heard of star tantrums. And everyone knows the smaller the director, the bigger the attitude. The unit of Kannada film Preethi Eke Bhoomi Midhe came face to face with one such star temper recently at Bangalore.
Mallika Sherawat, the sultry siren, is doing an item number in the film. Before she agreed to work, she had a contract made with a clause that the filmmakers shouldn’t allow any mediapersons or photographers on the sets.
It so happened that the shoot was on the roads of Bangalore. Not only did the media come but also curious onlookers, who captured Sherawat’s dance on their mobile phones despite the presence of her bodyguards.
The next day, not only did her photographs appear in the local newspapers, but mediapersons gate crashed at her shoot again. Sherawat walked out of the shoot and into her van in a huff and refused to come out till the media had left. She emerged from her van only after an assurance that mediapersons had left.
Apparently, Sherawat has forgotten that it’s the media that’s made her what she is today. Else, who would know Reema Lamba?
