Highlight Story

Believe it or not but a man in Kanpur eats four Kgs of grass everyday that sustains him with all nutrients like it does for cows, buffaloes and horses!

Forty-year-old Ganga Ram Gautam religiously eats grass for breakfast, lunch and dinner. He is very vigorous and healthy and can even drive a bullock cart without bullocks.

Ganga Ram ate grass out of desperation one day as his poor family had no money to serve rotis to him. Later he developed the habit of eating grass.

According to Ganga Ram, he had read a story that Maharana Pratap, the ruler of Udaipur once ate grass for survival in jungles. He thought that if grass can make the grand warrior survive then why can't it sustain him.

Now, Ganga Ram Gautam is not poor but he has developed a habit of eating grass that's difficult  to stop. Till recently, the man used to eat small quantities of grass in parks and gardens. But now he can devour full four kgs. Without this "his hunger is not satiated."

He can miss good food including fruits and sweets but he can't miss his daily quota of grass.

Several doctors who attended him say that he is perfectly healthy despite the fact that he eats grass like an addict.
