Man dies trying to save falling father!

The incident took place at about 9 a.m. in Dwarka area of Delhi. According to police, 74-year-old Kailash Chand Garg, who used to live with his 47-year-old son Sudhir, bolted his room from inside and threatened to end his life by jumping from the window of their 8th floor apartment.

Sudhir knocked the door several times and tried to pursue his father not to kill himself. But his efforts proved futile.

He rushed to the ground floor in order to request him from take back his decision. His father, who was standing on the window, suddenly jumped ignoring all requests made by his son.

Sudhir in an instantaneous decision tried to catch his falling father so as to save him, but the thrust of the body was so high that he too got badly injured by the impact.

While the father died on the spot, the son with multiple injuries was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

Police said Kailash Chand was suffering with mental disorder and was getting treatment from Mata Chanan Devi hospital. Sudhir was married and has two sons.
