Man loses Rs 3 lakh in snarl

A MAN was relieved of Rs 3 lakh in Hanumanganj on Thursday. Police said the complainant, Naresh Kumar, 36, resident of Koh-e-Fiza, was taking the cash to the bank for depositing when he got stuck in a traffic jam at Jumerati. The cash was kept in the bag of the motorcycle but when he reached the bank, he realised that the small handbag containing Rs 3.08 lakh was missing.

A MAN was relieved of Rs 3 lakh in Hanumanganj on Thursday. Police said the complainant, Naresh Kumar, 36, resident of Koh-e-Fiza, was taking the cash to the bank for depositing when he got stuck in a traffic jam at Jumerati. The cash was kept in the bag of the motorcycle but when he reached the bank, he realised that the small handbag containing Rs 3.08 lakh was missing.

The complainant works at Bombay Stores. The Hanumanganj police are investigating the case. In another incident, the Kamla Nagar police have registered a case of fraud on the complaint of a person who claimed that the plot he bought had been sold in the past.

The complainant, Ashok Manhar, 36, resident of MP Nagar, had bought a piece of land from one, Anish Tiwari, who claimed that he land was undisputed. However, the complainant later found that Tiwari had mortgaged the land long back and the bank had sold it. On the complaint, the police have registered a case of fraud against Tiwari.

In yet another incident, a part of an under-construction roof fell near Mata Mandir. Two labourers reportedly received minor injuries. Sources said the mishap occurred at the structure near Kukkut Bhawan when the centering gave way and part of the roof collapsed on Thursday evening.
