A 33-year old PhD scholar was found murdered at his house in South Delhi's Kotla Mubarak on Wednesday evening.

Zingran Kengoo, who was from Manipur, studied at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences and lived in a rented accommodation. His landlord's son found him dead at around 9:30 pm on Wednesday.

According to officials, Kengoo's throat had been cut wide open and he was almost beheaded. The police found a knife in hid room but found his personal belongings untouched.

Police suspect that Kengoo may have been murdered by someone he knew.
