india Updated: Jun 13, 2009 14:39 IST

Maoists blasted a railway track in Orissa's Sundergarh district early on Saturday, police said.

The rebels triggered the blast near Chandiposh railway station, some 30 km from the steel city of Rourkela, RK Bal, district superintendent of police (Railway), told IANS.

The blast occurred minutes after a goods train crossed the area, he said, adding that no body was injured.

The track was repaired within three hours and train services have resumed, the official said.
