Maoists have abducted two persons from Bihar's Naxal-hit Gaya district, police said today.

Over 50 heavily-armed ultras raided Silwalia and Bela villages last night and kidnapped Shohail Ansari, Nehal Ansari and Nagvir Yadav for working as "police informers", city SP Ratnamani Sanjeev said.

One of them was released later. The Maoists also beat up some villagers when they resisted, he said, adding raids are being carried out in the area to ensure safe release of the villagers and nab the ultras.
