Suspected Maoists shot dead a local CPI-M leader for allegedly spying against the ultras near Lalgarh in West Midnapore district.

Maoist guerrillas called a local CPI-M leader Tapan Dolui at his home at Dherua village and fired from close range late on Tuesday, the police said.
