Maoist guerrillas torched two excavators of a road construction company in Bihar's Aurangabad district on Tuesday, police said.

The machines were set afire at Kunauda village under Amba police station in Aurangabad, about 120 km from Patna, creating panic among workers and company officials.

"The Maoists apparently targeted the construction company for extortion," a police officer said.
