Maths Olympiad in three phases
MATHS OLYMPIAD Examination 2006-07 will be organised in the State in three phases. The first phase of the regional/state level examination is scheduled on December 10, 2006, at 76 centres across the State.

Mathematics students from Class IX to XII will be eligible to participate in the Olympiad being held with an objective to provide good mathematicians to the country. Students wanting to participate can register with their school principal up to September 29, 2006 along with a fee of Rs 25. Registration with late fee of Rs 15 would be done till October 6.
Guidelines in this regard have been issued to all principals and in-charges of examination centres.
Thirty top students of State-level examination would be eligible for the second phase - National Maths Olympiad Examination. The students, to be selected on merit basis, would include six from Class XII and remaining 24 students from Class IX, X and XI.
Students appearing in second phase examination would be provided an incentive of Rs 500, a certificate, allowance of Rs 50 and second class to and fro railway fare from their city of residence to examination centre. The National Maths Olympiad would be held at State Science Education Institute at Jabalpur.
