Some scribbles, construed as derogatory, against Chief Minister Mayawati in his answersheet have led to a class XII student’s candidature being cancelled.

The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has also barred Kayamuddin Ansari from sitting for the exam in future, sources said here on Wednesday.

A student of inter college in Devariya district, Ansari wrote some insulting remarks in his answersheet after he was allegedly given Sanskrit question paper instead of English on the exam day.

The remarks were noticed during evaluation in April.

The principal of DAV inter college, which was the evaluation centre, assistant controller, two teachers have been suspended for leaking the incident to media, the sources said.
