MDMK to stage fast outside Parliament on Lanka issue

Claiming that India was supplying arms to Sri Lanka, MDMK leader Vaiko on Thursday said that the party would stage a fast outside the Parliament on February 12 to garner support for the Tamil cause.

In a statement here, Vaiko alleged that India was supplying arms to Colombo and accused the state government for doing little to pressurise the Centre to end the conflict in the island.

The fast will also aim at garnering support for the Tamils' cause, Vaiko said, adding he would lead the fast.
