Tanushree Dutta has apparently learnt the ropes of showbiz, although the hard way. The sultry beauty has now resolved to do roles of substance and avoid unnecessary smooching on-screen. Check the siren giving her take to HTTabloid.

How's your sex therapy practice going?
Sex therapist and me? Never. I don't know why these stories were cooked up. I have never given such therapy to anyone nor do I have any connection with the subject.

But you did mention it in one of your interviews?
I have never mentioned any such thing in any of my interviews. It was a publicity gimmick by someone who wanted the cash registers ringing. As soon as I came to know about this, I clarified things. But one has to face occupational hazards and I am no exception. Most of the time my quotes are distorted by media so I just keep myself to the point in my interviews.

Is it true that more than 50 percent of the offers you receive have prominent kissing sequences?
These days, directors are on firm belief that inclusion of such scenes would generate interest among viewers. They often force such scenes in the film, even if the story doesn't require the same. I don't personally like the trend. I have refused all such proposals that have come my way.

You didn't mind making similar portrayals in your earlier films like Aashiq Banaya Aapne and Chocolate. Then what's the reason behind your shying away from such appearences?
Yes, I have done such roles in the past. But I have learnt my lessons and from now onwards, I would be more careful about my role selection. The truth is I never feel comfortable smooching my co-stars on-screen. But then as a newcomer one has to learn many things. I am sure I'll never commit such mistakes in future.
