Four former chief ministers, three of them NDA allies, will meet on June 6 in Hyderabad to finalise a common strategy for the presidential polls.
The AIADMK's Jayalalithaa, INLD's Om Prakash Chautala, and Samajwadi Party's Mulayam Singh Yadav will get together at Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu's home on Wednesday. Asom Gana Parishad President Brindaban Goswami will be present as well.
The five leaders last met on April 23 at an election rally in Allahabad to pledge their support to the SP.
Announcing the Hyderabad meeting, the SP's Amar Singh said on Friday that the leaders would "sit together and decide on a common strategy". Though the names of various leaders are making rounds, no party has yet announced any name.
The Press Trust of India reported that the Congress core group met at the Prime Minister's residence to finalise a UPA candidate.
