Memorial for Mahajan to be set up in Maharashtra

A memorial would be set up in the city in memory of late BJP leader Promod Mahajan, according to Thane Mayor, Rajan Vichare.
Vichare was speaking at an all-party condolence meeting organised in Thane on Saturday night to pay tribute to the departed soul.
Leaders from Congress, NCP, RPI, Shiv Sena and BJP paid rich tributes to Mahajan and recalled his contribution towards the state as well as the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Thane BJP MP Prasad Paranjpe urged the Thane Municipal Corporation to set up a hi-tech IT institute in memory of Mahajan.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting were Thane MLA Eknath Shinde, MLA Anant Tare, RSS Leader Shriram PAtwardhan, RPI President Sunil Khambe, NCP leader Ashok Raole, BJP Leader Sanjay Kelkar, MLA Hemendra Etha and Chief of Rambhao Malji Probodhini Vinay Sahasrabuddhe.
