Security forces on Tuesday busted a militant hideout, seizing a large cache of arms, ammunition and explosives in Baramulla district of north Kashmir, official sources said.
The hideout was busted during a joint search operation carried out by police, Rashtriya Rifles and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in the forest area of Namblan, 75 km from Srinagar, after receiving a tip off, the sources said.
They said the hideout was set up by militants inside a cave and its search led to the recovery of an under barrel grenade launcher (UBGL) with 62 grenades, an AK assault rifle, its five magazines with 143 rounds, two pistols with four magazines, a revolver and 13 hand grenades.
Four wireless sets, 50 detonators, five chargers, seven Pakistan-made water bottles and 25 live rounds of pen pistol were also confiscated from the hideout, the sources said.
No one was arrested during the operation, the sources added.
