Unidentified militants hurled a grenade at the private residence of a Manipur government official, police said on Wednesday.

The militants exploded the grenade at the house of executive engineer of state electricity department Ch Rajbabu at Kabo Leikai in Imphal East district at around 7.20 p.m last night.

One two-wheeler was damaged in the explosion, but there was no harm to the official and his family members, present at the time of the incident.
