Schoolchildren can now get the opportunity to sharpen their intelligence quotient (IQ) by playing different mind games.
The games which are to be developed with the help of private companies will be part of extra-curricular activities in various schools in Gurgaon as well as Delhi, thanks to an initiative by a pan-India group Mensa.
Around a dozen members of Mensa, a network of intellectuals, met at the residence of the group’s president Kishore Asthana here to discuss ways how to improve the IQ level of children.
“The IQ level can increase by 10-12%, if kids are made to play mind games in the schools. We would try the mind games to be introduced as extra-curricular activities in the city schools as well as schools in Delhi,” Asthana said. He said Mensa is planning to tie-up with at least three companies to develop various games and encourage kids to take part in such activities.
The meeting was attended by professionals and students of all age groups.
