Minissha Lamba gets candid with Sujata Reddy on her link-up rumours, her forthcoming films and more

You've often been pulled up for those not-needed kilos and your party wear.
Sometimes it's said that I'm too thin, sometimes they call me fat. (Shrugs) It's okay, I know my body. I won't lead my life according to what some publications say.

You've been linked with Abhay Deol and Aftab Shivdasani. Whom are you dating?
Neither. Rumours are a part of my profession. I tell myself, "They've got it all wrong" and laugh off the stories.

What's happening with Sanjay Gadhvi's Kidnap which was delayed after Sanjay Dutt's arrest.
Today was the last day of the shoot. I'm already missing the crew despite the satisfaction of knowing that the film will be out soon.

You went on a crash diet for Kidnap...
(Cuts in) I don't believe in crash diets. I've just been working out. Shaurya is an all-man movie.

What are you doing in it?
I'm an investigative reporter who accidentally stumbles upon a story which she sees as her ticket to a byline on the front page. The film is my tribute to the modern female journalist. (Smiles) I wanted to be a broadcast journalist once.

<b1>Rahul Bose has acknowledged that the film has been inspired by A Few Good Men. So does your character resemble Demi Moore's?
Demi played a military officer in A Few Good Men. I'm a journo who has nothing to do with a court martial.

Any bad experiences with journalists?
Not really. I understand that a journalist cannot always write good things about you.

After the character-driven Yahaan, meaty roles seem to be eluding you. Even Amrita Singh overshadowed you in Dus Kahaniyan.
When I'm offered a role, I don't stand with a stop watch in hand so I can measure how much screen time I have. As for Dus Kahaniyan, I knew from the beginning that it was the mother's story, not mine. I wanted to be part of the film because the short story concept was so novel.

Shaurya means courage. What is the most courageous thing you've ever done?
I take part in adventure sports while travelling all over the world. It's a great way to conquer your fears.
