Ministers to attend Manthan - 2007

ALL MINISTERS will attend the two-day workshop ? Manthan-2007 - being organised from January 13 at the Academy of Administration.

ALL MINISTERS will attend the two-day workshop – Manthan-2007 - being organised from January 13 at the Academy of Administration.

All divisional commissioners, district collectors, chief executive officers of district panchayats; additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries, secretaries of all departments and heads of departments of selective departments will also participate in it.

There will be seven group discussions on different subjects at the workshop. All participants can participate in group discussions on a maximum of three subjects as per their choice. Principal secretary concerned will be the coordinator of each group.

General Administration Principal Secretary IM Chahal will coordinate the group discussion on governance, Home Principal Secretary Satya Prakash on security; Panchayat and Rural Development Principal Secretary Pradeep Bhargawa on livelihood, Narmada Valley Development Principal Secretary Uday Verma on infrastructure one and Commerce and Industries Principal Secretary OP Rawat on infrastructure-two; Women and Child Development Principal Secretary Prashant Mehta on social sector while Finance Principal Secretary Sumit Bose will coordinate group discussions on education.

Revenue, Panchayats, Finance and Public Grievances Redressal departments will participate in group discussions on governance; Home, Law and Jail in State security; Rural Development, Agriculture, Cooperatives, Horticulture, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Gramodyog, Forest Food and Civil Supplies departments in livelihood; Public Works, Water Resources,

Narmada Valley Development, Public Health Engineering in infrastructure-one, and Energy, Urban Administration and Development, Tourism, Housing and Environment, Information Technology, Commerce, Industries and Employment in infrastructure-two; Public Health and Family Welfare, Women and Child Development, Social Justice, Tribal and Scheduled Caste Welfare, Transport and Labour in Social Sector and School Education, Higher Education, Technical Education and Medical Education departments would participate in the group discussion on education.

The additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries, secretaries and head of selective department will be included in the discussions on their respective departments, but they can all participate in maximum three other discussions as per their choice and interest.

Such officers would be able to express their views in the next session of another group after attending their own respective groups.
