In a minor administrative reshuffle, Madhya Pradesh Government has shifted three IAS officers and appointed them as Collectors of Bhopal, Ujjain and Dewas districts, official sources said on Thursday.
Ujjain Collector Shivshekhar Shukla has been shifted to Bhopal in the same capacity, replacing Manish Rastogi who had been transferred earlier, they said.
Ajatshatru Shrivastava, Controller (Weights and Measures), will be the new Collector of Ujjain. Sachin Sinha, Director, Rajiv Gandhi Watershed Mission, will be the new Collector of Dewas, the sources said.
The post of Dewas Collector was lying vacant after IAS officer Sanjay Shukla was shifted to Bhopal as Chairman and Managing Director of Madhya Kshetra Power Distribution Company.
Sanjay Shukla was posted as Dewas Collector by the Election Commission, replacing Navneet Kothari, in the wake of a controversy involving Tourism and Youth Affairs Minister Tukojirao Pawar and a lady officer during the Assembly polls last year.
However, soon after the polls, Shukla was shifted back as the chief of the power distribution company, the sources added.
