A number of bombs, some of them live, and missile components were found at a steel factory in Ghaziabad on Monday morning, a top police official said.

The bombs and missile parts were found in a water tank at Shankar Steel Factory located in Kavi Nagar area of the township, SSP Ghaziabad Piyush Mordia said.

Police had received information about some explosive material being stored at the factory, following which raids were carried out.

The owner of the factory Devesh Luthra has been arrested, Mordia said, adding the live bombs would be defused soon.

Nearly a year ago, live rockets and rocket launchers were recovered from scrap at Bhushan Steel Factory, also in Ghaziabad.
