A six-year-old Mizo boy, who won three gold medals at the 18th national kickboxing championship, held recently, was declared the youngest black belt holder in the country.

Mizoram Kickboxing Association officials said on Thursday that Kevin Larinmawia, who started his kick-boxing career at the tender age of three, has so far won four gold medals at the state level and six gold medals at the national level in different categories.

He was awarded the black belt in September last year. The state kickboxing association, which is yet to get recognition from the Mizoram Sports Council, is putting in efforts to collect funds to send the young kid for kickboxing world championship, the officials said.
