Two robbers posing as passengers in a cab attacked a multinational company executive after he got into the car on the Gurgaon Expressway, thrashed him into disclosing his ATM card PIN and used the card to withdraw Rs 20,000 before fleeing.

The robbers dumped their victim at a secluded place with broken ribs and fractured arms on Tuesday night after debating whether to kill him.

Kamlesh Nathani, 30, who works for Alcatel Lucent, was attacked after he got off the Metro at IFFCO Chowk. A resident of Sector 10, Nathani is recuperating in the ICU of a private hospital in Gurgaon.

Ishwar Singh Yadav, a colleague of the victim said Nathani got into a black Santro car, which already had two 'passengers' in the back seat. As Nathani got into the back seat, one of the 'passengers' feigned he was about to throw up and asked him to provide access to the window and move to the middle.

After the car drove off, the robbers began beating Nathani and snatched his wallet, watch and other belongings, and asked him for the the PINs of his ATM cards. When Nathani resisted, they chewed the fingers of both his hands. The car halted at an unknown ATM booth from where the robbers withdrew the cash and sped off.
