Modi marks 2 years of NDA with ‘Transforming India’ anthem video

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday released a video for the ‘Transforming India’ anthem that details the central government’s achievements, marking two years of the NDA.

“Mera desh badal raha hai, aage badh raha hai, #TransformingIndia (My country is changing, it is moving ahead),” Modi posted on Twitter when he released the video.

May 26 marks two years since Modi swept to power at the centre in the last general elections. The Prime Minister will begin celebrations on Thursday with a rally in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, where the BJP is looking recreate its electoral success in next year’s polls.

Modi had earlier tweeted the theme song of ‘Transforming India’ – the theme of the outreach programme of the NDA – which highlights various initiatives undertaken and the achievements since 2014.

On Friday, several ministers will fan out across the country, where they will spend the day participating in public meetings with beneficiaries of government schemes and intellectuals, among others.

Meanwhile, preparations are underway for a massive cultural show at India Gate, scheduled on Saturday, to be attended by celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher and Prasoon Joshi.

Besides the rally in Saharanpur, Modi will also address public meetings in Dhavalgiri in Karnataka on May 29, in Balasore, Odisha, on June 2, and one more in Rajasthan.
