Six days after Moga DSP and a young girl were found murdered in suspicious circumstances, police today rounded up 40 persons having criminal background to get a breakthrough.
"40 persons having criminal background were rounded up to investigate the murder case of DSP Moga Balraj Singh Gill and Monika Kapila reported in a farm house here," Police Commissioner, Ludhiana, Ishwar Chander Sharma said.
He did not rule out the possibilities of the involvement of contract killers in the case or the crime being an outcome of an act of vendetta.
The police team yesterday recovered the blood stained cars belonging to both victims.
On February 2, deputy superintendent of police and an unidentified young girl were found murdered in mysterious circumstances at a farmhouse of an industrialist on Hambran road.
