Dino Morea goes into raptures over hot chocolate and dark chocolate with

Roshmila Bhattacharya.

What do you start the day with?

A cup of green tea and a few almonds.. followed by a breakfast of cereals, eggs and fruit.

And what do you end the day with?

Could be a cup of green tea, a glass of Complan or a dessert.

On a date what would you like to be wooed with?

I’m not fussy about food but may be a chocolate dessert. Molten chocolate is yummy!

If you were marooned on an island, what would you want to take along?

Since there would be seafood in plenty some herbs and masalas maybe.. and dark chocolate for dessert.

When you eat out what do you inevitably order?

I bottle of water. For food, I usually rely on the chef’s suggestions.

What do you serve guests at home?

I have a super cook who can whip up meals in minutes.. so anything they want, from pasta to fancy sandwiches. I’m a super host!

Your first culinary experiment?

I must have been around 10 when I ventured into the kitchen to make myself a cup of tea.. it turned out just fine.

Braver, I experimented with Maloney eggs. The only problem was breaking the eggs so the yolks and shells didn’t splatter all over. Now I’ve perfected the technique. I can crack an egg with one hand and in one shot. I do eggs of any kind.

As a child is there something you had to have every day?

I ate whatever was put on the table. But the real treat was spoonfuls of Nutramul or Boost powder that I’d lick off without stirring into milk.

Your most memorable experiment with food?

It was the first time I tried Japanese food at a restaurant in the U S. The raw fish was delicious and healthy. I’ve developed a taste for it now.

A food item you absolutely abhor?

Earlier, I didn’t like karela much but then a friend prepared a dish that was quite nice. And now that I’ve started eating it, I’m no longer bitter about bitter gourd.

When you have a touch of the blues what is your comfort food?

Anything.. from a thaali and pani puri to kababs and desserts.

What do you cool down with in summer?

Water, lassi, watermelon juice, green tea, nimbu paani and plenty of salads.

And what do you crunch on when it rains or when there’s a nip in the air?

Assorted nuts and snacks.

A festival you associate with food..

Holi with chhole bhature.. Diwali with mithai.. Christmas with turkey and Christmas pudding.

Do you have a roadside favourite and when did you have it last?

I love bhelpuri, panipuri and bhutta. I must have stopped for a snack on the streets less than a month ago.

When you go shopping, what do you usually end up buying?

I’d do that only if I was abroad and then I would pick up interesting meats and pasta.

If you weren't a movie star what would you binge on?

Hey, I still binge even though I’m a movie star.

So what’s your miracle diet?

I eat healthy and work out everyday.. that’s the only way to build a six-pack!

If you could open a specialty restaurant that wasn’t Crepe Station what would it be?

May be a Japanese restaurant.

And if you could order your last meal what would that be? Sushi?

If I knew it would be my last meal, I would be too stressed to eat anything!
