MoU for e-tendering in Govt depts signed

AN MOU was signed between the Madhya Pradesh Consultancy Organisation Ltd. (MPCON) and Trans Online Systems Private Ltd (TOSPL), Jabalpur, in Bhopal on Friday to provide e-tendering solution facility to government departments. As part of the MoU agreement, an online platform (website) will be launched soon.

The e-tendering facility, provided through joint venture, will be economical and ensure security & secrecy. Adoption of e-tendering system will both augment income and generate employment opportunities. Under the IT Act 2002, security and secrecy facility will be provided to the third party in keeping with the PKI guidelines to lessen possibilities of dispute through e-tendering system.

The e-tendering system has been prepared keeping in mind short-term, maximum error-free work as per local needs. Maximum security has been ensured and the system offers flexibility keeping in view special needs of government departments. Government departments are not required to invest any capital to avail the facility and a nominal fee will be borne by vendors for their tenders.

The MPCON and the TOSPL will give consultancy regarding e-tendering to government departments. Both organisations are prepared to provide a common platform (website) for use in government organisations. All tenders will be made available on a common website for contractors and vendors.
