MP: 19 held for using hi-tech devices in SSC examination

Nineteen youngsters from Haryana were caught while cheating, using hi-tech bluetooth device from two examination centres of Chhatarpur during Staff Selection Commission (SSC) examination. Police interrogation of the accused was on when this report was being filed.

Also, in Bhopal, a youth from Sonipat, Haryana, was caught while cheating using mobile phone at the exam centre during SSC exam. TT Nagar police have arrested Pradeep, 19, and are quizzing him.

The SSC exam had been organised at five centres in Chhatarpur town. However, during flying squad checking in the afternoon at Maharaja College and Pt Motilal Nehru Law College, the inspection team got suspicious about the activities of some candidates and thoroughly checked them. Nineteen of them were found to be cheating with the help of bluetooth device.

They had put their mobile phones in their underwear and bluetooth chip was stuck on the earlobes. All of them were connected with each other.

The police team led by additional SP Neeraj Pandey also reached the site and searched the aspirants. Later, police teams also raided Moti Mahal hotel at Bus Stand and Kalyan Dharamshala, where these candidates were putting up. Here, police recovered some incriminating material and equipment.

SP Lalit Shakyawar confirmed that 19 aspirants were caught while cheating with hi-tech bluetooth device from two centres. He said raids were also conducted at two more places, where they were staying.
