Drawing parallels between BJP's Prime Ministerial nominee Narendra Modi and the protagonist of a popular TV show 'Mungerilal Ke Haseen Sapne', Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Arun Yadav said the Gujarat strongman was "day-dreaming" of occupying the top post.
"Voting for the Lok Sabha polls hasn't commenced yet, and Modi has already begun to believe that he has become the Prime Minister..His fantasies are like Mungerilal's day dreams," Yadav was addressing a Congress Sammelan in Indore last night.
Further attacking Modi on the 2002 Gujarat carnage, he appealed to voters, "Do not allow politics to be in the domain of those who believe in dividing people and instigating riots."
Slamming the ruling BJP in the state, Yadav alleged that the Shivraj Singh government is misusing the funds provided by the Centre and passing off schemes launched by the UPA as their own and misleading people.
He also hit out at Sumitra Mahajan, the BJP candidate from Indore Lok Sabha constituency who has been winning the seat since 1989.
'Tai' has not contributed even three things in her 30 years towards Indore's development...when the corrupt and the mafia began to rule Indore, she was nowhere to be seen," Yadav alleged.
'Mungerilal Ke Haseen Sapne' was a hit comic series on Doordarshan about a day-dreamer called Mungerilal.
