Narayangarh court on Monday admitted a writ petition against BJP MLA Usha Thakur for making 'hate speeches'. The petition was filed by Block Congress former president Anil Sharma and former corporator Hariprasad Gehlot through advocate M Sayyed Mansoori.

Speaking to HT, petitioner Sharma said the court of judicial magistrate first class (JMFC) Shivkumar Kaushal admitted the petition and set October 6 as the next date of hearing.

Sharma, a resident of Narayangarh, about 28km from Mandsaur headquarters, said the petition has been filed under Section 298, 153 and 153(B).

The petitioner said the BJP leader is trying to disturb communal harmony for political gains.
