Indore Lokayukta team raided junior food supply officer Ashwin Nayak's residence early Sunday morning and unearthed unaccounted property worth more than Rs 50 crore.

Nayak, who is currently posted at Khandwa, came on Lokayukta radar after special establishment police got several complaints against him, recently.

During preliminary investigation, officials raided his Mourya residence situated flat in front of Treasure Island. The team, lead by deputy superintendent Daulat Singh and BS Parihar, seized papers of five flats, five plots, two gymnasiums, two gas agencies in Rau and Rs 15 lakh in cash.

Authorities also recovered documents that confirmed that Nayak owned a building with 36 flats at Rau.

Apart from these, Nayak owns three luxury cars and one motorcycle. Several bank policies and jewellery was also recovered from his residence during the raid.

Raids were also conducted at his residences in Indore, Rau and Khandwa simultaneously.

As per preliminary estimate, the total value of Nayak’s property at current market price would be around Rs 50 crore, which is disproportionate to his known source of income.
