A 25-year-old man beheaded another youth on Monday evening and went to the police station carrying head of the slain youth to report the incident. The attacker was angry with the slain youth because he (deceased) used to harass his wife.
Police said Makhan Lodhi, 25, slit the throat of Raghvendra Lodhi, 23, with a sharp-edged weapon in Barkheda village of Sagar district and later surrendered before the police.
Banda sub-divisional officer of police (SDOP) Udaybhan Tiwari said Raghvendra had been harassing Makhan’s wife for the past few months. Makhan’s wife had also lodged complaint of harassment against Raghvendra in the past. After lodging a complaint, Makhan and his wife moved to Delhi but Raghvendra also arrived there soon after.
Makhan came back to his village a week ago and sent his wife to her mother’s home. On Monday evening, he beheaded Raghvendra and walked into the police station carrying his head in his hand to report the incident and surrender.
