MP officers intimated about Assembly election duty

ABOUT FIVE-dozen IAS officers of Madhya Pradesh have been deployed as observers for forthcoming Assembly elections in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Deployment of such a large number of officers is likely to hit the State administration in the next couple of months.

ABOUT FIVE-dozen IAS officers of Madhya Pradesh have been deployed as observers for forthcoming Assembly elections in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Deployment of such a large number of officers is likely to hit the State administration in the next couple of months. 

A majority of these officers have received intimation about their election duties and they have started making preparations to leave for their respective destinations during the first fortnight of next month to ensure free and fair polling.

Absence of these officers will certainly reflect on their work, as they would return only after completing entire election process.

Thirty-five officers of Madhya Pradesh have been deployed in various Assembly segments of West Bengal. Those appointed as observers in the bastion of Communists include Manoj Kumar Goyal, M Gopal Reddy, Vinod Chandra Semwal, Mahesh Kumar Singh,

Shikha Dubey, ICP Kesari, Pankaj Rag, Sudha Choudhary, Jabbar Dhakwala, Dinesh Kumar Tiwari, Ashok Kumar Shivhare, Bharat Kumar Vyas, Davindra Pal Ahuja, Sanjeev Kumar Jha, Manish Singh, M Geeta, Gulshan Bhamra, Shobit Jain and Sandeep Yadav.

Similarly, other IAS officers of MP Cadre appointed as observers in other constituencies of West Bengal include Gita Mishra, Prabhanshu Kamal, M Mohan Rao, Sanjay Bandopadhyay, Sandeep Saxena, Malay Shrivastava, V S Niranjan, Prabhat Kumar Parashar, Ashok Kumar Barnwal, Ashish Shrivastava, Smita Gate, Pradeep Kumar Khare, Vinod Kumar Katela, Omesh Mundra, Ravindra Pastor, Sachin Sinha and P G Gillore.

According to sources about a dozen officers of Madhya Pradesh cadre have also been appointed as observers in other States. While officers like S D Agrawal, K C Gupta and Rajnish Vaish posted at various constituencies of Tamil Nadu, Hoshiyar Singh has been appointed as election observer in a constituency of Kerala.
