MEET SHAH, Samar Alir Warsi, Ojashwani Singh and Pooja Kudesla (all from MP) on Tuesday entered the quarterfinals in different categories in the AITA Junior Talent Series tennis tournament organised by Yeshwant Club.
In the U-14 boys’ pre-quarterfinal, Meet Shah of MP beat Neeraj Choudhary of Rajasthan by 9-7, while Bamkin Silawat beat Bruhad Mankad of Gujarat by 9-2. Maninder Singh of Haryana beat Milind Kakde of MP 9-2.
Rachit Sethiya of MP beat Parth Upadhyay of Rajasthan 9-1 and Devesh Giri of Chhattisgarh beat Harshal Sethi of MP by 9-3.
In the U-18 boys’ pre-quarterfinals, Samar Ali Warsi of MP beat Jai Bapna of MP by 9-8 in a thrilling match. Rohit Sha of MP beat Rachi Sethiya of MP by 9-4, while Meet Shah of MP beat Bruhad Mankad of Gujarat by 9-4. Dushyant Verma of MP defeated Varad Deshpande of Maharashtra by 9-4.
Keshav Patidar of MP blanked Kirti Damle 9-0 and Vandan Ved of MP beat Rohan Verma of MP by 9-3.
In the U-14 girls’ pre-quarterfinals, Ojashwani Singh of MP beat Nishtha Khaitan of MP 8-3 while Sanya Singh of MP lost to her own teammate Anveshi Gupta by 2-8 and Oja Kodesia of MP beat Shreya Malhotra of Delhi by 8-2.
In the U-18 girls’ pre-quarterfinals, Pooja Kudesia beat Anjali Thakur of MP by 6-1 and 6-2 and Baljinder Kaur of Haryana ousted Isha Thakker of Gujarat by 6-0 and 6-2 and Sheetal Yadav beat Shradha Kapoor.
