Ujjain city once again witnessed tension after some miscreants allegedly threw pieces of meat inside a temple in Sarafa area on Wednesday afternoon.
Following this, Hindu organisations swung into action and demanded immediate arrest of the accused. During the protest, the members of Hindu organisations became violent. Subsequently, police used mild force against the protesters.
As per the protesters, a miscreant who came to the temple on bicycle threw some pieces of flesh due to which tension arose. Police swung into action after the incident. Police have identified the miscreant with the help of CCTV and hunt for the accused is on.
Tension in Ratlam
Tension prevailed in Taal village in Ratlam district after large number of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajarang Dal activists raised protest in front of Bhootgali situated butcher shop in the village.
Hindu organisations' members protested against butcher's alleged attempt to slaughter a calf. Meanwhile, police force from Taal police station reached the spot and controlled the situation. Following the incident, protesting members declared Taal bandh.
They also warned district administration to prevent cow slaughter in the village. Ratlam superintendent of police Ashish said the situation is in under control. So far two persons have been detained by the police.
