Taking strong exception to demolition at Ram Manohar Lohia memorial in Lucknow by Uttar Pradesh government, Samajwaadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Wednesday asked Mayawati to remove all her statues as otherwise his party, if voted back to power, would raze them.

"We will follow the way shown by Mayawati and bulldoze all her statues if she did not mend her ways. I will press 50-60 bulldozers at a time and remove all her statues if we come to power," Yadav told reporters in Lucknow.

Referring to the demolition of four pillars errected at Raj Bhawan crossing in memory of socialist ideologue Ram Manhohar Lohia by the state government, Yadav said the "disrespect shown to the Samajwadi leader would not be tolerated by the party".

"If Samajwadis get any, there will be trouble," Yadav said adding installing statue of a living person was "against" Indian culture.

"Mayawati should immediately deposit money spent on installation of her statues in state exchequer. We don't have objection to installation of Ambedkar and Kanshiram statues but installation of statue of a living person is intolerable for the party," Yadav said demanding that all her statues be removed from the state.

Alleging that Mayawati government was busy in grabbing lands, Yadav said the state government should not indulge in "cheap politics" and leave memorials of great leaders.
