SP supremo Mulayam Singh on EC radar for 'sexist comment

Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav allegedly threatened a senior lady official of Manipuri district of Uttar Pradesh following reports that she had cancelled the arms licences of certain SP workers in the district.

Mulayam reportedly said, "...Since you are a woman, I am restraining myself. Had you not been a woman, you would've faced the consequences."

As per the reports, while addressing an election rally in Manipuri, the SP supremo asked the district magistrate Ministhy Dileep to get herself examined and warned her not to interfere with the working of his party workers.

"This is also affecting my elections and it is not tolerable", he said. "She has lost her sense to discriminate between a criminal and a common man. She should get her head checked", Yadav said angrily.
