Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Gopinath Munde was discharged from Bombay Hospital on Tuesday.
Munde was admitted to the hospital on December 30 following an accident at his hometown, Parli, in Marathwada. Munde had injured his arm in the accident and was operated upon at Bombay Hospital. Munde has been advised bed rest for the next 10 days but the former deputy chief minister expressed his desire to get well soon and participate in his party's civic poll campaign.
In a statement released after his discharge, Munde expressed his gratitude to all political leaders, including the chief minister and his deputy, for calling upon him. He also thanked the hospital staff for caring for him and being patient despite a constant stream of party workers visiting him.
