Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf’s autobiography, In the line of fire will be hitting stores in the US and UK this September.
The book is being published by Free Press, an imprint of Simon and Schuster, one of the oldest and biggest publishing houses of America.
While publishers continue to be reticent with information regarding the book or who the ghost writer is, a source said book will "tell it like it is".
Since General Musharraf "shoots straight from the hip", no great dramatic disclosures are expected.
According to the Daily Times, Gen Musharraf is apparently writing his autobiography to justify his actions, including the October 1999 bloodless coup against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, as well the Kargil war, which the General has been accused of masterminding and executing without the federal government’s full knowledge.
