The Muzaffarnagar police have worked out the sensational October 4 triple murder case of Bhadarpur village under Sikhera police station and arrested four persons who have committed several other murders.

The arrested include Gulfaam, a resident of Lathar Deva village in Haridwar, and Yunus Qureshi and his two sons Mohsin and Anish, from Bilaspur village, who admitted to having committed the murders. According to DM Kaushal Raj Sharma, the main motive of the murders was loot and not communal factors. The SSP reported that Gulfaan was the kingpin of the triple murders and that he had been living with Mohsin and Anish in Bilaspur for the past eight years. Before this incident, they had committed several other acts of murder and looting and one act of kidnapping.

Sharma said that the police had solved the case as the missing cycle of one of the victims — Sundar — and a mobile phone, SIM cards of another deceased, Mukesh, had been recovered from Yunus’ house. Police also found the weapons used in the murder there, he said. Interrogation of the arrested killers was still going on, added Sharma.
